Tandoor Restaurant Burglarized, Vandalized

The Middle Eastern restaurant at Oakleigh and Taylor Avenues was recently targeted by burglars.

When burglars got into Tandoor, on the corner of Oakleigh and Taylor Roads, it doesn't seem like they were trying to steal anything, but rather destroy the restaurant.

Burglars climbed into the building after breaking a rear window to get inside between the evening of Jan. 7 and the morning of Jan. 8, according to police.

"The place was ransacked and there was considerable property damage," said Detective Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman.

Parts of the restaurant were flooded as a result of a toilet that was broken during the burglary, Batton said. The burglary was called in by a neighboring business owner who told police he saw water leaking around the building.

Baltimore County detectives continue to investigate the burglary, but at this time there isn't any information on suspects, Batton said.
