Teen Pedestrian Killed in Accident

Police say the boy was likely on his way home from school when he was struck by two vehicles; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

UPDATE (5:15 p.m.) — Putty Hill Avenue is now reopened in both directions at the scene of a deadly accident that happened Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. when two teenagers were walking along the sidewalk on the westbound side of Putty Hill Avenue. One of the teens ran out into Putty Hill Avenue, crossing into the eastbound lane near Wilson Avenue where he was struck by a silver-colored Toyota Camry, according to police.

The initial collision knocked the boy into the westbound lane of traffic where he was struck by a burgundy GMC Envoy, according to Baltimore County police Officer Keith Weber.

Ryan Isiah Chase, a 15-year-old Parkville High student on his way home from school, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 3 p.m.

The victim was identified by Baltimore County police shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday evening.
