Three Arrested in Overlea Street Robbery

Two juveniles were charged as adults in connection a street robbery Friday, and a third man was arrested and charged, as well.

Three teens were arrested Friday afternoon in connection with the robbery of a man and a woman near the MTA bus loop on Belair Road in Overlea.

The man and woman were approached from behind by three males as they walked in the 6800 block of Belair Road, according to a Baltimore County police report.

The male victim was punched and pushed during the struggle and was eventually stabbed in the arm, police said. The female was also struck, the report states.

According to police, the robbers stole a hat from the male victim's head and fled.

During a search of the area, the police aviation, plain-clothes and uniformed officers located the suspects, police said.

Seventeen-year-old Wayne Brown Jr., of the unit block of W. Elm Avenue, was arrested at a home in the unit block of W. Elm Avenue in connection with the crime. Sixteen-year-old Ronnell Simmons and 19-year-old Ricky Simmons, of the unit block of Manor Avenue, were arrested about a minute later, according to police.

All three young men were charged as adults with robbery, theft and assault and are being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $150,000 bond each.

Baltimore County police spokeswoman Det. Cathleen Batton said that St. Michael the Archangel school was placed on lockdown while police searched for the suspects.

Excellent! Snatch these scumbags up and put them in a cage.

I hope these ”losers” receive some punishment for their crime. Maybe in Baltimore County, they will receive the justice that fits the crime.

Cage them for a couple of years, teach them to read, get counseling, work on building something for the good of Baltimore and you MAY rehabilitate them. I also think that the parents should be made accountable at least to reimburse for any damage.
Seriously? May 22, 2012 at 11:25 PM
I guess W. Elm Ave. wasn't gangster enough for Mr. Brown, Jr. Although, to his credit, he was doing a fine job of making life a little more ghetto during his house arrest last summer. Yelling at passerby's for "fogs" and money while confined to his front porch. Looks like he got a jump start on this securing house arrest for summer 2012. Recently, he and his friends, perhaps his fellow entrepreneurs the Simmons' boys, began congregating outside the Elm residence resembling the quintessential kids with too much time on their hands. Their mouths constantly running.."f_ggot - a_ _ - bi_ch" a favorite term ...If I could talk to these punks today I would tell them this - there is nothing unique about the way you have chosen to live your life. Everyone is a f_ggot-a__-bi_ch in your world and we all owe you our fogs, money, and even the hats off our heads. Idiots like you can be found all over Baltimore. I hope you are discovering that more of your kind exist in the jail where you all truly belong together. Your lives are so small...and so incredibly stupid.

I just gotta say.. I am SHOCKED at these comments. Sure these punks should be punished. But the amount of hate and visciousness of your comments scares me more then any street robbery! "fry em"? "cage them"? "teach them to read"? REALLY?? You people need therapy

, These comments are beyond rude. I understand what was done was rude it me personally knowing Ronnell Simmons I know he's not a bad person. Wayne brown though has just gotten out of jail early May for robbing the local pizza man. I'm not saying what they did was good but they must learn on there own!! Per pressure had alot to do with this trying to price who's the best. Ronnell not having a previous record should be put on a type of punishment but jail is not wats going to help. Wayne I've heard of him and he's no good period.Ricky hes grown .I don't know which person did what but I know that it was not good.

Seriously, you're defending this dirtbag? I know he's not a bad person. Well he robbed someone, so that a__hole should be caged, he wants to act like an animal he can stay with the rest of them. Quit defending trash.

I'm not defending anyone I know right from wrong as well as them.! You weren't there neither was I . But what I am saying is there's one hat and one knife not saying others didn't help push and harass the couple either and from previous situations Wayne has been charged for armed robbery 2 other times but released. The violent one is him but yes you are right all are at the blame for this situation.

When will the Baltimore County courts realize not everyone can be rehabilitated. This convicted criminal, Wayne Anthony Brown Jr. got a break on his previous crimes. What did he do with this break, he committed another crime! I think he should spend some real time in jail and see if life behind bars changes his behavior.

Exactly after being in jail for 8 months coming out and less than 2 weeks later back in ... I'm sure it was his idea .. but the others went along with it so there all to blame.
