Woman Robbed of Cell Phone near Loch Raven Ramada
A hotel guest was robbed after a man followed her and flashed what she thought was the handle of a gun.
A 31-year-old Ohio woman was robbed of a cell phone as she returned to the Ramada Inn on Loch Raven Boulevard where she was staying.
The woman told police that she was walking to a nearby Subway restaurant when she was approached by a man who asked her for a cigarette. After replying that she did not have any cigarettes, the woman began walking back toward the Ramada Inn, according to police spokeswoman Detective Cathy Batton.
The woman was talking on her cellphone and did not notice that she was being followed as she approached the hotel building. The man followed her back to the Ramada Inn where he displayed what appeared to be the handle of a handgun tucked into his waistband and took the victim's cell phone.
