Police Talk Woman Down from Beltway Overpass

UPDATE (10:23 p.m.) Baltimore County police successfully talked a woman off a sign over the Beltway on Tuesday night near Parkville.

"She's down safe and sound," Sgt. Benjamin Yohe said.

The situation, which ended around 10 p.m., had closed both lanes of the highway between Harford and Belair Roads for nearly 90 minutes.

Yohe said the highway was closed as a safety precaution.

The woman, who was not identified, is expected to be taken to a local hospital for an evaluation, Yohe said.
