Bevins Fields Questions, Hosts Girl Scouts at Baltimore County Council Meeting

Members of Girl Scout Troop 1044 also toured the County Council office and led the Pledge of Allegiance at Monday's legislative session.

Cadettes from Girl Scout Troop 1044 visited the Baltimore County Council's legislative session Monday.

Members of the troop from Perry Hall United Methodist Church were greeted by Sixth District Councilwoman Cathy Bevins, herself a former Girl Scout, according to a statement from Bevins.

The girls, all Parkville Middle School students, were invited to lead the Pledge of Allegiance to begin the council session, according to Bevins.

Before the meeting began, Bevins shared her experiences as a Girl Scout and accompanied the girls on a tour of the County Council office.

The councilwoman also fielded questions from the Cadettes about her role as a legislator and County Council member.
