Parkville Representatives Split Vote On Gaming Bill

Parkville's Democrats and Republicans came down on opposite sides in Wednesday night's vote.

A new bill to allow an expansion of gaming in Maryland .

The bill passed in the Senate 32-14 and the House 71-57; legislators representing Parkville and Overlea split evenly on whether to allow the bill to pass.

Sen. Kathy Klausmeier and Del. Eric Bromwell, both democrats, voted in favor of the bill while Del. John Cluster and Del. Joe Boteler III, both republicans, voted against it, according to recently released unofficial voting documents.

During November's general election, voters will have a chance to weigh in on the issue via referendum.
