Rat Eradication Sweeps Set for Loch Raven Neighborhoods

The sweeps are scheduled to begin around late July.

Several Loch Raven-area neighborhoods will be the targets of Baltimore County's rat eradication sweeps this summer.

In an email, County Councilman David Marks said the sweeps by code enforcement will begin around late July.

"One of the most frequent complaints we receive is about the presence of rats, particularly in older neighborhoods," Marks said in the email. "Eliminating rats and other pests can improve public safety and our quality of life."

Residents in affected neighborhoods will soon see signs with instructions on how to prepare for the sweeps, Marks said
