This year we were giving out 25 Avengers Movie Tickets to the first 25 people in line, and $100 worth of Merchandise including Graphic Novels, Comics and Collectibles to the first 50 people in line. Our first person in line showed up at 9:30 PM on Friday May 4th! By 4:00 AM over 40 fans lined up waiting for us to set up for the day & At 8:30 AM til 9:00 more than 400 fans patiently waited in a line that stretched 3 & 1/2 Blocks. In addition to the 5 FREE Comics everyone could choose from every FCBD 2012 Title Offered each person got to choose 50 FREE Back Issues & a copy of our DC The NEW 52 Customized Cover with a coupon printed on the cover to redeem 2 Free Comics and 50% Off 1 DC GN of their choice.Attendance was more than doubled (4,500) from last year, and with The Avengers movie lingering in people’s minds people were rabid for Free Comics. Over 20,000 Comics including Free Back Issues were given Away!

Over 100 FREE Pizzas provided by Cheezys Pizza & Subs were decimated.

Over 20 creators and publishers including Avatar Press, PLB Studios, Greg LaRocque, Marc Hempel, Michael Bracco & H.C. Noel sketched, signed and greeted fans all day.

The winners of our second annual FCBD Costume Contest were Fantomex, Sandman & Hydro Man, Raven & Phoenix!

We noticed more children and families than ever this year and the vibes were great coming from everyone attending. Two registers were blazing with lines from the counter to the front door from 9:00 AM til 7:00 PM.

We had this documentary of sorts being filmed during the day with interviews and footage from morning til afternoon along with our own in store film (Shoe Here Below) with video taken by volunteers, photos taken by staff, fans along with professional photographer, Pat Gavin.

Collectors Corner would like to thank everyone again for making this our Biggest & Best Free Comic Book Day ever! Big thanks to our customers who spread the word that not only is Collectors Corner the best place to be for FCBD in Baltimore, but the Best place to be every Wednesday for New Comics and to hang out at anytime. Without our awesome customers none of these events would be possible and thanks to all the amazing artists, photographers, film-makers and models as well as volunteers for the day!

We had a blast and want to thank Joe Field of Flying Colors, Founder of Free Comic Book Day for creating the greatest Holiday in the Universe. We love you Joe!
