I mean let's face it...we aren't JUST MOMS...we are wives, sisters, aunts, house managers, friends, chefs, housekeepers, taxi service, employees, employers, etc. The list is truly endless.
Do you ever have those moments where you feel like you have just taken on too much? BUT you are afraid to say anything, because heaven forbid you let someone down right? With the holidays right around the corner, I am reminded that sometimes we (and yes I) take on too much and I end up spending most of my time stressed about what I NEED TO GET DONE instead of being grateful for what I have DONE. For me personally, I need to concentrate on spending more time with my kids, my husband, my friends and stop obsessing over work.
See my mind works like this: Successful business= successful life for my family. RIGHT? I mean isn't that how it works. Running a successful business would mean my husband could work less so we could have more family time, OR we could take more trips with our kids without having to worry about finances. When in reality success for me SHOULD be= Happy, healthy family that is grateful for what we have, not for what we (or I) want. Ironically I created Pampered Mommas to make life easier for moms so that they can sit back and enjoy their family, so they can alleviate stress that comes along with becoming or being a mom. But I still take time to sit back and make sure that I am happy. I get so wrapped up in the day to day operations of Pampered Mommas, my full-time job (in addition to Pampered Mommas), my 2nd side job, and studying for the real estate exam that I am exhausted most of the time, but I have to remind myself that in the end, it will ALL BE WORTH IT. There will come a time, when I truly will be able to do exactly what makes me happy. As Pampered Mommas grows, that becomes more and more of a reality.
This time of year is a great time to sit back and assess where your happiness lies, WHAT makes you happy, as well as WHO makes you happy. It is important that you are allowing yourself to be happy and if you see you aren't happy, then CHANGE IT!! Make the change for yourself and for your family. Afterall a happy, healthy mom is a BETTER MOM!! When my kids see me happy, they are happy. When your kids/husband/partner see you happy, they will be happy. Let's show our kids that life is meant for the living, if we aren't doing something we love, then we begin to make the changes. Show them your strength, courage and determination, YOU CAN DO IT!!
I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and are able to spend it with family and friends remembering why you are thankful. I am thankful for my family, friends and for YOU. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your world, in some small way, even if we have never met. I hope that you find Pampered Mommas to be a great resource for you, as a Mom and as a Woman.
