You see the expectant young girl standing in line at the grocery store, looking like she's on top of the world and you think to yourself....man I would really like to tell her...
I remember when I was pregnant and women would come up to me and ask me questions: "Do you know what you are having?" "How far along are you?" "Wow you look like you're about to pop" (this particular comment didn't exactly make my day) But what I wished someone had told me was things like.."Just remember it does get easier", or "You will be able to function on minimal sleep, even though it doesn't feel that way" or " Be sure to accept the help when it is offered." There was so much advice that was given, but I needed to hear "real advice", nothing sugarcoated, because becoming a mom for the first time was a bit overwhelming for me, I can't deny that...
