The Parkville High School community recently honored 11 students who were named Students of the Month for October.

Honored students are selected for academic achievement, whether that means maintaining high grades, demonstrating a strong work ethic or striving to improve academic standing, according to the school's website.

The following Knights were named Students of the Month for October:

  • Christian Briscoe
  • Jessica Colacioppo
  • Yasmine Collins
  • Collin Fowble
  • Maxim Goldstein
  • Savannah James
  • Kayla Johns
  • Jaden Rhodes
  • Michael Vick
  • Kireh Wright
The students were honored at an awards breakfast Oct. 30, according to Melissa Bailey, chairwoman of the school's Student Recognition Committee.
