Mercy High 'Pretty In Pink' For Breast Cancer Awareness

Students at Mercy High School lined the intersection of Loch Raven Boulevard and Northern Parkway on Tuesday as part of a schoolwide breast cancer awareness event.

A few hundred high school students lined Northern Parkway and Loch Raven Boulevard Tuesday afternoon to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Girls at Mercy High School held signs and waved to passersby as part of 'Pretty In Pink' day at the school.

The students also raised close to $600 for the Hoffberger Breast Center at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore City by paying a dollar each to be allowed to wear denim (instead of a school uniform) for the day and holding a bake sale.
