Parkville Educators Retire With 217 Years Experience Combined

Six teachers from Parkville area schools will retire at the end of the day today.

When the last bell rings and school is dismissed for the summer, the kids will no doubt be thrilled.

Many of them will return in the fall to continue their education, but six educators from area schools will not. The educators, who have a combined 217 years experience in Baltimore County Public Schools have made the decision to retire.

According to a news release from Baltimore County Public Schools, teachers who won't be back to carry on their legacy of educating Parkville's youth include:

  • Frances Holstein, retiring from Parkville Middle School with 38 years of service
  • Richard Zentz, retiring from Parkville High School with 35 years of service
  • Randi Heilman, retiring from Pine Grove Elementary School with 37 years of service
  • Joanna Ambridge, retiring from Pine Grove Elementary School with 36 years of service
  • Mary Ellen Pluemer, retiring from Pine Grove Middle School with 36 years of service
  • Angelina Simpson, retiring from Pine Grove Middle School with 35 years of service
