Parkville Students Honored; Crayton Receives Master's Degree

Several Parkville-area students received college academic honors for the fall semester.

As college students head back to class for the spring semester, many schools are announcing academic honors awarded for the fall semester.

Many Parkville-Overlea area students received recognition for their fall academic achievement.

Nicole Crayton received her master's degree in business from Gardner-Webb University (North Carolina) during the school's fall commencement ceremony.

Sarah Markiewicz was named to the Dean's List at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Honored students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Sophomore Mary Oaken was named to the Dean's List at Thiel College in Pennsylvania. Honored students must be enrolled full time and earn at least a 3.4 grade-point average.

Kara Jackson and Judah Mendez were named to the Dean's List at Messiah College in Pennsylvania. Jackson is a sophomore Spanish major and Mendez is a senior majoring in engineering.
