Photos: The Talented Artists of Pine Grove

The elementary school recently held its annual art show and ice cream social.

has held an art show and ice cream social during the last week of May for as long as Randi Heilman has been teacher there and she's now in her 32nd year.

Check out these photos, representing elementary school art talent from kindergarten all the way through fifth grade.

Incidentally, while I was on assignment taking these photos I got to see a piece of artwork my wife did when she was in the fourth grade at PGES back in 1995. Did you or your kids go to Pine Grove Elementary? If so, is there a piece of art from your time as a Panda still on display today? Tell us in the comments.

We had two sons attending Pine Grove ES one from '97 -'04 the other from '95-'96. We have their art work displayed through out our house. We have a foot stool made with a gulf shoe, finger and brush painted projects, paper mâché puppets and hats, clay cut-outs, a doorway to Monsters Inc and some many more creative projects. Ms Heilman is a one-of-a-kind art teacher that BCPS should be so very proud of with all her varying skills and her love for both the art and the children. I feel blessed that my children were able to be taught under her tenure. Thank you Ms Heilman mat you be blessed with many more years continuing to touch the artist in all children. kathleen ettinger

My sons went to Pine Grove Elementary School in the late 80's. The wonderful support from the teachers at this school is unbelievable. In my mind, Pine Grove Elementary school is the BEST school in Baltimore County. I hope all the teachers feel appreciated, because the parents I know sure appreciated these wonderful teachers. Please note, the teachers' success also shows up in the high achieving test scores and attendance of Pine Grove Elementary students.
