Area residents who need some help maneuvering in the world if college financial aid can get that help Monday.
U. S. Rep. C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger will host a workshop titled "College is Possible: Tips on How to Get In and How to Pay for It" at 7 p.m. at the North Point Library meeting room.
"Expanding access to college will strengthen our economy and create a pipeline of jobs for the future," Ruppersberger said in a statement. "Unfortunately, the cost of tuition continues to rise, but help is available."
Ruppersberger will be joined by representatives from The College Board and the Maryland Higher education Commission for the free seminar open to all Second Congressional District residents.
Financial aid experts will share information "to make the dream of going to college a reality," according to the statement.
