St. Michael Students Awarded Scholarships

Graduating Catholic school students were awarded scholarships to a variety of private schools.

Scholarships aren't just for graduating seniors heading off to their dream colleges — St. Michael the Archangel School in Overlea recently announced that some of its eighth graders were awarded scholarships to help with tuition at area parochial schools.

Of the 41 students in the graduating class of 2011, 11 were offered money by 5 area schools.

  • Blake Bourne, of Rosedale, who was offered a scholarship by Calvert Hall College
  • Katelyn Cavagna, of Forest Hill, who was offered a scholarship by Catholic High
  • Joshua Dunham, of Parkville, who was offered a scholarship by Archibishop Curley High School
  • Jade Hargrove, of Parkville, who was offered a scholarship by Institute of Notre Dame
  • Amber Jenkins, of Nottingham, who was offered a scholarship by Catholic High
  • Blair Kelly, of Nottingham, who was offered a scholarship by Catholic High
  • Rebekah Kempske, of Nottingham, who was offered a scholarship by Catholic High
  • Austin Kiss, of Fallston, who was offered a scholarship by The John Carroll School
  • Cassandra Kopasek, of Hamilton, who was offered a scholarship by Catholic High
  • James Litsch III, of Hamilton, who was offered a scholarship by Archbishop Curley High School
  • Rachel Platt, of Rosedale, who was offered a scholarship by Catholic High
