95-Year-Old Parkville Volleyball Player Shows No Signs of Slowing Down

Harold "Whitey" Freeberger was recently honored for starting Parkville Senior Center volleyball leagues more than 20 years ago.

Harold "Whitey" Freeberger apparently isn't one to rest on his laurels.

Credited with starting volleyball leagues for his peers at the Parkville Senior Center more than 20 years ago, the 95-year-old still plays the sport  four days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To congratulate Freeberger for creating the leagues and his continued support of the program, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz honored the lifelong athlete last week in a ceremony at the center.

In addition to volleyball, Freeberger is also a lifelong supporter of soccer.
