Falcons Soar To An Impressive Start

After a postseason run last year, the Overlea Falcons are off to a 4-1 start following a victory over C. Milton Friday night.

The Overlea High School Falcons are off to a great start this season after a 14-6 victory over C. Milton Wright High School last Friday.

The victory leaves the boys varsity football team with a record of 4-1 to start the season. Last year the Falcons made a run at the postseason, ultimately losing to Northwestern in the regional finals after their original opponent, New Town, was forced to forfeit.

As first reported by Varsity Sports Network, the Falcons were able to capitalize on mistakes made by the visiting Mustangs Squad to pull down the victory Friday night. After getting the W, Overlea has won 19 of its last 20 regular season contests.

Ashantee Washington and Aaron Thomas each found the endzone for the Falcons, according to Varsity Sports Network.

The Falcons will be looking to extend a 4-game win streak after losing their first game to Owings Mills when travel to Sparrows Point for a 7 p.m. game on Friday.
