When it comes time for fireworks next Wednesday, where will you be?
Parkville-Overlea residents have a couple of options nearby to watch Independence Day displays—the 50th annual Fullerton Fireworks and the long-running Loch Raven Village fireworks.
Over in Fullerton, the show starts at 9:15 p.m. but people will start turning out to Fullerton Field to vie for a great spot and listen to live music from the band Awaken beginning around 6 p.m.
According to Lt. Ron Brooks with the White Marsh police precinct there will be between 30 and 40 police offers on hand in the Fullerton area to assist with road closures and large crowds.
A number of roads surrounding Fullerton Field will be closed beginning at 6 p.m.; .
"Our main goal is to make sure everyone has a good time," Brooks said.
Capt. Michael Balog of the White Marsh precinct added that officers will be on the lookout for illegal fireworks in the area.
"If you're lighting illegal fireworks we will arrest you," Balog said.
