What's Closed on the 4th of July?

Most county services will be closed around Parkville and Overlea in honor of the holiday.

Several Baltimore County government services will be taking Independence Day off, according to a recent news release. 

Expect the following offices to be closed July 4: 

  • Baltimore County government offices
  • District and circuit courts
  • Health department clinics
  • Libraries
  • Senior centers
  • Trash and recycling drop-off centers
  • School offices

Additionally, CountyRide vans will not operate.

Residents who normally have their trash collected Wednesday mornings should set it out on Wednesday night for Thursday morning collection. Those who normally have their recyclables collected on Mondays should save them until the following Wednesday, July 11.  

Baltimore City government officials also announced that city parking meters will not be in effect on July 4.

Banks are also generally closed, and several area businesses plan to close early for the holiday.
