Parkville-Carney Relay for Life Announced

The American Cancer Society recently announced the date, time and location for Parkville-Carney's inaugural Relay for Life.

Back in February Patch brought you the news that the American Cancer Society decided to host a Relay for Life for the Parkville-Carney Community.

At the time, few details were available about the program. Recently though, the nonprofit announced the dates and times for its latest fundraiser.

Parkville-Carney's Relay for Life will be held from 2 from 11 p.m. June 30 at the Parkville Armory, 3727 Putty Hill Avenue, ACS spokeswoman Katie Weber said.

"This appealed to me as an area of the county that had a very strong sense of community," Weber told Patch back in February. "People had a sense of being from here — you have your amazing rec center, you’ve got every chain store you could want and strong, independent, locally-owned small businesses community."
