Photos: Earth Day in Ridgeleigh

Baltimore County organized a community clean up day in the Ridgeleigh neighborhood to celebrate Earth Day.

This Earth Day, Baltimore County teamed up with a host of partners to clean up one of Parkville's parks—photographers (and Patch users) from Balance Photography took these photos and were excited to share them here.

Saturday morning, volunteers from the Ridgeleigh Community Association, Boy Scout Troop 124, Calvert Hall College High School and other groups got together to plant trees and pick up garbage.

Over the course of the three hour event, volunteers planted new trees in the park and near the intersection of Putty Hill Avenue and Weston Avenue. County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and fifth district Councilman David Marks spoke to the group around mid-morning.
