Woodcroft Community Swim Club was established in 1956 and has served generations of Parkville families. The club is nowMore private and is a social gathering place during the summer months for many people both young and old. The facility has an Olympic regulation pool, elevated tennis courts, covered pavilion and snack bar and plays host to many events throughout the season. The swim team, the Woodcroft Waves, competes with teams from other area clubs and contains members from all of the local schools both public and private. The club has streamlined its membership process and now offers the option of registering and paying dues online.

Cromwell Valley Park is a park under the management of the Baltimore County Parks and Recreation Department. TheMore 380-acre site was acquired by the department in 1993. The park is open every day of the year and is made up of woods, open fields, orchards, hedgerows, pastures, gardens and piedmont hills and is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including deer, red foxes, deer mice, rabbits, meadow voles and songbirds such as the Baltimore Oriole, Indigo Bunting, Eastern Bluebird and Bobolink. The park contains an information kiosk for visitors who wish to learn more programs, regulations and rules. The kiosk also offers trail masks for trekkers.
