Baltimore County Police Department Precinct 8 provides coverage to the majority of central Baltimore County; betweenMore the east side Loch Raven Blvd and the west side of Bel Air Road from the Baltimore City line to the Harford County line. 

The original police station for Precinct 8 occupied the current home of the nearby Baltimore County Fire Station 10 from the time it was founded in 1954 until March 2004, when it was announced that a new police station would be built - construction concluded and the officers moved to the new location in March 2007.

The Police Commander for Precinct 8 is Captain Thomas J. Busch, who was raised in Parkville and enjoys serving the community where he grew up.
