Man Charged With Animal Cruelty at Parkville Shelter
Anthony Joseph Geer, 29, was arrested and charged with 23 counts of animal cruelty on Thursday.
A Cambridge man was arrested Thursday nearly a month after being charged with and charged with animal cruelty involving at least 18 puppies at a Parkville animal shelter. Anthony Joseph Geer, 29, faces 23 counts of animal cruelty in connection with the incident. Police officers found the puppies and 5 dogs "in deplorable condition" at Baltimore Animal Rescue Network, in the 8600 block of Quentin Avenue, on Jan. 24, according to a news release from the office of Baltimore County State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger. Three of the puppies had to be euthanized immediately due to their condition. A booking photo of Geer was not made immediately available by the Dorchester County Sherriff's Department.
