The Pen Lucy man convicted in the late-2011 shooting death of Rodney Pridget was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole Tuesday. Tyrone Brown, 21, was convicted of first-degree murder on March 13, 2013. Judge Robert Cahill ordered the sentence to be served consecutively to another 10-year sentence Brown is serving in Baltimore City, according to a news release from the Baltimore County State's Attorney Office. On Dec. 19, 2011, Brown shot Pridget, then 19, six times outside the Towson Town Center, a hit that was ordered by the Black Guerilla Family prison gang. Police officials believe Robert Wynder Jr. was shot at a different location and drove to the station.
Baltimore County police have identified the man found shot to death outside of a Rosedale gas station early Sunday morning. The victim was identified as Robert Wynder Jr., 23, of the 1700 block of Montpelier Avenue in Baltimore City. At about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Baltimore County police and fire personnel responded to the Shell gas station at 6321 Kenwood Ave. in Rosedale for a report of unknown trouble, according to a statement from police officials. When they arrived, officers discovered an adult male in front of the station suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was declared dead at the scene. Food delivery drivers from Perry Hall and Parkville were attacked and robbed by by men luring them into a trap, court records show.
Two Baltimore men face life in prison after they allegedly twice attacked and robbed Perry Hall and Parkville food delivery men, court records show. Police described two incidents in which the two men called food delivery drivers, luring the victims into a trap near the apartments in the unit block of Raylon Drive. One of the victims, a 57-year-old man, remained in hospital care as of Tuesday after suffering serious injuries from the assault last week, Lt. Ron Brooks, of Precinct 9 White Marsh, said. An 18-year-old man stands accused of attempted first degree murder, first degree assault, among other charges.
Police have charged an 18-year-old man in the shooting of an off-duty police officer in Overlea. Essex resident Michael Jabateh, 18, was charged with attempted first degree murder after an incident in which police describe a man opening fire on a car driven by an off-duty police officer. The officer was trying to maneuver his personal car through a crowd of juveniles and young adults that blocked the roadway after leaving a party in 700 block of Dale Avenue.
