Boscov's wrapped up a weekend of festivities with donations and a ribbon-cutting to mark the re-opening of their store in White Marsh Mall. The 200,000-square-foot department store opened to great fanfare, too, with the help of Perry Hall High School's marching band on Sunday morning. There were actually two ribbon-cuttings on Sunday: the official one—led by actress Shirley Jones—and another ribbon with $100 bills affixed to it that represented $1,000 in donations by Boscov's to the United Way of Central Maryland. Baltimore-area United Way affiliates did those honors. A nonprofit gala held at the store on Friday was expected to raise $25,000 for area organizations.
