Three Injured In Tuesday Evening Carney Crash
The drivers of three vehicles were transported to GBMC and Johns Hopkins Bayview.
Three people were injured in a four-vehicle accident in Carney shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday. Around 8:16 p.m. Kelsey Alana Beard Faniel, 28, was driving a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound on Joppa Road when she rear-ended a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 26-year-old Allyse Lynnette Hawley Algarin, which was waiting in the eastbound left turn lane at the intersection of Joppa and Magledt Roads, according to police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher. That initial collision caused Algarin's vehicle to strike the left rear corner of a 2001 Dodge 1500 driven by 52-year-old Kendall Roy Shoats, Rogers-Feher said. I stopped and as the woman was breathing, 911 told us not to move her from the vehicle. I'm glad emergency vehicles arrived on the scene quickly. The image is seered into my mind as well an the feeling of being unable to do anything but wait and pray. I hope she is alright.
