Bottle Bomb Explodes in Fullerton
No one was injured in the explosion.
Police say that a "drano bomb" was detonated in the 100 block of Elinor Avenue late last week, but that no one was hurt in the explosion. A "drano bomb" or "bottle bomb", as Snopes explains, is a mixture of a chemical cleaning solution and tinfoil that when combined in a plastic soda bottle cause an explosion which can be enough to "sever fingers" or "cause 2nd or 3rd degree chemical burns. The bomb went off around 9:40 a.m. Apr. 13 in front of a home in the 100 block of Elinor Avenue. According to a police report, the Baltimore County Police Department bomb squad responded to the scene.
