Parkville Y Takes First In Worldwide Fitness Contest
Team members biked 20,036 miles and burned 880,668 calories during December.
Parkville's Family Center Y won big in December, placing first in a worldwide fitness competition hosted by the manufacturer of an interactive exercise bike. Members of the gym biked over 20,000 miles and burned more than 880,000 calories during December to place first out of 1,048 competitors in a contest hosted by Expresso bike manufacturer Interactive Fitness. On the company's news blog, Parkville Y Fitness Director Andy Corbett wrote in to tell the story of the team's victory. In his letter, Corbett credits Y member Serge Arbona for helping his team to victory. "I thought of for the team was Serge Arbona.
