Dogs on Display at Harford Road Pup Crawl

The event will take place on the front lawn of the Parkville Recreation Center on May 11.

For the second year, Parkville is going to the dogs.  On May 11, from 10 to 11 a.m., Parkville Main Street is bringing back the Harford Road Pup Crawl, which starts at the front lawn of the Parkville Recreation Center, according to at flyer from the group. Participants are welcome to bring well-behaved dogs on a short leash with clean-up bags. Contests for best trick, best costume, cutest and ugliest dogs start at 10 a.m., the flyer states. The walk, from the recreation center to Taylor Avenue and back, starts at 10:30 a.m. The event will also feature Tiki's Ice Cream Truck for dogs. Harford Road Goes To The Dogs

Parkville's Main Street committee has organized a canine-centric Saturday, including contests for the cutest and ugliest puppies.

Think you've got the cutest dog in Parkville-Overlea? What about a puppy with a face only you could love? Why not prove it to your peers — the Saturday morning Harford Road Pup Crawl will feature a contest to determine the neighborhoods cutest and ugliest canines. The event, organized by Parkville's Main Street Committee, is open to everyone; the only thing they ask is that you bring your "well-behaved dog on a short leash, clean up bags and a smile." The event starts at 9 a.m. at the Lavender Avenue parking lot — contests for cutest and ugliest dogs, best dog trick and best costume begin at 9:30 a.m. Then the group will take their four-footed friends for a walk up to Putty Hill Avenue and back along Harford Road.
