Two Kids, Teen Hit By Car In Hillendale
No one was seriously injured in the crash, but two children were transported to GBMC.
Three people were struck by a vehicle as they attempted to cross the street in a Hillendale neighborhood Tuesday morning. The pedestrians, two children ages 6 and 7 and a 17-year-old girl, were trying to cross Hillsway Avenue around 8:11 a.m. Dec. 18 when they were struck by a Honda Accord, according to Louise Rogers-Feher, a police spokeswoman. The area of Hillsway Avenue where the group tried to cross includes a near-blind curve and parked vehicles, Rogers said. The group stepped out from behind a group of vehicles parked on the street into traffic after looking both ways, Rogers-Feher said. They were then struck by the car, she said.
