Loch Raven, Overlea Eliminated From B-Ball Tournament
After Thursday night's games, no local schools remain in the regional basketball tournaments.
The basketball postseason has drawn to a close for area schools after both Loch Raven and Overlea high schools lost region quarterfinal matchups Thursday night. The Loch Raven Raiders, who earned a number one seed and a first round bye heading into the postseason, lost a home game to Owings Mills (No. 8) Thursday night, eliminating them from competition. The final score of the game was 66-58, according to the MPSSAA website. Across town the Overlea Falcons (No. 11), fresh off a win over Bluford Drew Jemison STEM Academy, played at Pikesville (No. 5) where they suffered an 81-69 defeat, according to the MPSSAA website.
