Parkville Man Gets 27 Years In 'Sex Slave' Case
John Andrew Blaes, 49, was sentenced in federal court to 27 years in prison after he admitted to transporting a 15-year-old girl from North Carolina to Parkville to engage in a BDSM relationship.
A Parkville man who pleaded guilty to transportation of a minor to engage in sex and conspiracy to produce child pornography has been sentenced to 27 years in prison. John Andrew Blaes, 49, of the 8600 block of Wendell Avenue was sentenced Tuesday afternoon by U.S. District Judge James K Bredar, according to a news release from the Office of the US Attorney for Maryland. Bredar also ordered that upon his release Blaes must register as a sex offender. Blaes and his then-girlfriend Margaret Ellen Jones both admitted in court that during July 2011 Blaes solicited a 15-year-old North Carolina girl to have sex with them, according to the news release.
