Baltimore County Firm Pays $160K Medicaid Fraud Restitution

Milford Mill business All About You Health Care Services submitted fraudulent claims to the Medicaid program.

A Milford Mill health care business will pay nearly $160,000 in restitution and penalties to the Maryland Medicaid program after submitting false claims. The case against All About You Health Care Services was filed in February 2012 by state Attorney General Doug Gansler, according to a news release Monday from Gansler's office. The settlement was reached during mediation ordered by the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. "The investigation showed that services were done without adequate medical supervision in violation of Maryland Medicaid regulations," the release states. Missing Milford Mill Teen Found Safe

15-year-old Cheyenne Abbott was reported missing Dec. 17 from Milford Mill.

A missing teenage girl has been found alive and well, police said. Cheyenne Abbott, a 15-year-old girl reported missing from Milford Mill this month, "has been located alive and well," according to a news release Thursday from the Baltimore County Police Department. The Milford Mill resident had been missing since Dec. 17, when she was last seen at Milford Mill Road and Liberty Road, near the Giant Foods store. She had been reported missing before, from Glen Burnie, according to a Glen Burnie Patch report.

Police Searching for Missing UMD Student

Twenty-year-old David Johnathan Scherr was last seen in a Ravens shirt with white plaid shorts.

A University of Maryland student has been missing since Dec. 19, according to officials, and police are hoping the public can help them find the college student. David Johnathan Scherr, 20, a Pikesville native, was last seen on campus in College Park at 2 p.m. in a Ravens shirt and white plaid shorts. Police said he may have been driving a black 2013 Ford Escape with Maryland tags 3AX4875. PGPD Cpl. Maria McKinney said today that no new information is available and did not respond to whether or not foul play was involved. Help Find Teen, Last Seen in Milford Mill

15-year-old Cheyenne Abbott was at Milford Mill and Liberty roads, police say.

A Milford Mill teen has been missing since Monday when she was at Milford Mill and Liberty roads in Milford Mill. Baltimore County police need help finding 15-year-old Cheyenne Angel Abbott, a 5-foot 7-inch 15-year-old, according to a news release Thursday. She weighs 252 pounds, and was last seen at about 9 a.m. in that area, the release states. According to a Baltimore Breaking News report, Abbott was at the Christmas tree stand, near Giant Foods the last time she was seen. Police say Abbott is resident of the 8000 block of Woodgate Court, Milford Mill, and they do not know where she went. "She may still be in the Baltimore metropolitan area," the release states. UPDATE: Police Need Help Finding Missing 15-Year-Old

Tyler Grimes was last seen at his Milford Mill home at 4 p.m. Nov. 24, but has been found alive and well.

UPDATE (4 p.m. Nov. 27)-Tyler Grimes, a 15-year-old Milford Mill resident, who had been missing, has been found alive and well. On Monday, Baltimore County police said Grimes was last seen at 4 p.m. Nov. 24 at his home in the 3500 block of Wild Cherry Road. He was reported missing at about 12:35 a.m. Nov. 25, according to a news release. Grimes is white, and is 5 foot, 5 inches tall, the release states. He weighs 160 pounds and has brown eyes and straight, brown hair. "He does not have a vehicle or a driver’s license," the release states. "His direction of travel is unknown, but he does have relatives in Florida." Anyone with information about his whereabouts was asked to contact the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-307-2020.

Owings Mills Woman Guilty of Abusing Vulnerable Adult

Musa N. Agroh, 34, received five years of probation for second-degree abuse of a vulnerable adult in an incident from May 2011.

An Owings Mills woman was sentenced to five years of probation after being found guilty of second-degree abuse of a vulnerable adult. Musa N. Agroh, 34, was sentenced to 18 months of incarceration, all of which were suspended. She received the five years of probation, must perform 80 hours of community service in the next 120 days and cannot supervise vulnerable adults for five years, according to a release from Attorney General Douglas Gansler. Baltimore County Circuit Judge Michael Finifter accepted Agroh’s guilty plea at a Friday hearing, according to the statement. “The abuse of a vulnerable individual is a tragic violation of trust,” Gansler said. “When placed in the hands of others, vulnerable group home residents and their families …

UPDATE: Storm Causes Thousands of Outages, Flooding Possible

A storm already passed through Milford Mill, Pikesville and Brooklandville by 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, with only reports of a few downed wires and other insignificant damage, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

UPDATE (10:56 p.m.)—The storm that is passing through Baltimore County Tuesday evening has caused only minor damage so far, according to Capt. C. Ross Cooke of the Baltimore County Fire Department. Most of the damage, Cooke said, was concentrated in the Pikesville, Brooklandville and Lutherville areas. Baltimore Gas & Electric reports 14,000 customers are without power, 10,000 of them in Baltimore County. As of 9:44 p.m., there had been some calls about downed wires, and one call from Barnes & Noble in Pikesville, regarding a damaged electrical meter, Cooke said. Mega Millions Lottery Winners Plan to Work, Travel

According to the Maryland Lottery officials, the winners of the historic $656 million jackpot watched the lottery news unfolding, came up with a plan, and went to the lottery headquarters in Baltimore with a financial adviser.

  On March 30, a 20-year-old public school employee found a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket among the 60 she had spread out on the floor. "Once I realized one was a winner, I called my two friends right away," she said in a Maryland Lottery news release Tuesday. The three have decided to remain anonymous. She and another winner, a man in his 40s, went over to the third friend's house—a woman in her 50s—to plan how to claim their winnings, the release states. Attorney: Baltimore Woman's Mega Millions Claim 'Legitimate'

Marlinde Wilson, the woman who says she has the winning Mega Millions lottery ticket sold at the 7-Eleven in Milford Mill, was present Wednesday during a press conference with her attorney.

Maryland Lottery spokeswoman Carole Everett told Pikesville Patch Wednesday afternoon that no one has yet come forward with the winning Mega Millions lottery ticket sold Friday at a Milford Mill 7-Eleven. Meanwhile, Baltimore resident Marlinde Wilson, who reportedly is an immigrant of Haiti and mother of seven children, still maintains she has that ticket. A Haitian immigrant who is the mother of seven and works at a Westport McDonald's told the New York Post that she has the winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Milford Mill.
