Paul White Jr., who police say stabbed his mother to death and attacked his younger sister, was taken into custody at the scene of the crime early Sunday morning.
A Nottingham area man is charged with the stabbing death of his mother in an incident that also left his sister seriously injured. Paul White Jr., 26, of the unit block of Lerner Court is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault following the incident early Sunday morning, according to a news release from the police department. White is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police wrote in an email. White argued with his mother, 46-year-old Jeanette Williams, at their home in the unit block of Lerner Court. Two men approached the students and demanded their cell phones; one of the victims told the robbers they didn't have cell phones, and the robbers then demanded their backpacks. Police believe they have linked together two cases where local food delivery men were assaulted at a Nottingham apartment.
A China Taste food delivery man suffered serious injuries after two men attacked and robbed him last week in a Nottingham neighborhood, according to Baltimore County police. Police believe the incident is linked to another assault and robbery that occurred in the same area in mid-March, according to Lt. Ron Brooks. The 58-year-old victim was making a delivery in the unit block of Raylon Drive at about 10:10 p.m. on March 26 when two men jumped him and stole an undetermined amount of cash. Police were not able to interview the victim because of the serious nature of his injuries. The man was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The majority of cars stolen were left running and unlocked.
Police are warning residents of a recent spate of car thefts in the area of Dunfield/Belmont in Nottingham, according to Ofc. Mark Dorsey. Police have begun using an auto-dialer system to alert residents to at least six car thefts in the last month, Dorsey said. Investigators believe there is enough evidence to support that the thefts are related. The majority of the cars stolen were left running, unlocked in the early hours of the morning. Dorsey speculated that residents could've been warming up their cars before work. The six thefts date back as far as Feb. 21. Four of the six cars stolen were recovered by police, Dorsey said. Jilani Shaquille Alexander faces first-degree assault charges in connection with the incident.
A Parkville area teen has been arrested and charged after police said he pointed a pellet gun at an older man's head. Jilani Shaquille Alexander, 18, of the 8100 block of Ridgetown Drive, faces first- and second-degree assault charges and one count of reckless endangerment in connection with the incident that took place on Dec. 24. Alexander allegedly pointed a Colt Defender .177-caliber pellet gun at the head of his friend's father who then called police, according to a police report. Police said he then tried to get rid of the gun by tossing it over a fence, but officers recovered the weapon. A search of electronic court records shows that Alexander has been released from the Baltimore County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.

Two victims were robbed by three men who assaulted them and took a pair of shoes.
A Carney juvenile has been arrested and charged as an adult for what police say was his involvement in a street robbery Tuesday evening in Nottingham, and a later assault against a police officer. Paul Alfonso Gonzalez, 17, was arrested and charged with robbery, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, theft, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and resisting or interfering with arrest.
