1 Transported To Shock Trauma Following Accident, Fight

The incident occurred Saturday night in the Overlea area.

Police have confirmed that one person was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma following a car accident and fight in the Overlea neighborhood Saturday night. According to officials at the Baltimore County Police and Fire Communications Center, a vehicle hit a pedestrian on Belair Road near Overlea Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Dec. 15. A fight erupted after the accident, police said. One person was transported to Shock Trauma, but officials could not confirm whether the injuries were as a result of the accident or the fight. Car Strikes, Seriously Injures Baldwin Man in Overlea

A pedestrian crossing Belair Road was struck by a car Tuesday morning, police said.

A man was seriously injured Tuesday morning when he was struck by a car in the 7100 block of Belair Road, near St. Michael the Archangel Church in Overlea. The accident occurred around 9:39 a.m., according to Susan Hunt, a Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman. The pedestrian, 67-year-old Gwyn Norman Houch of the 2600 block of Green Road in Baldwin, was crossing from the east to the west side of Belair Road. He was struck by a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by a Rosedale woman, Hunt said.  Houch was transported by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with serious injures, Hunt said. Neither the victim or driver involved have been charged by police in connection with the incident. Charges are pending, Hunt said.
