Fullerton Arwell Court, unit block. Between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. May 15. A white Mac laptop computer and a black Panasonic flat screen television were stolen from a home. It's unknown how burglars got inside. Overlea Chesley Avenue, unit block. Between 6 p.m. May 14 and 8 a.m. May 15. A home was set on fire when someone threw three burning sticks inside and sprayed an accelerant into the home. A cinder block wall was destroyed in the fire. Kenwood Avenue, 4400 block, between 12:30 and 12:45 p.m., May 14. Two men were robbed at knifepoint. The robbers stole an iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S2, headphones and a Gucci belt—total value: $1,565.

An Overlea area man and a Baltimore City woman have been arrested and charged with stealing packages from the porches of homes in the Parkville, Overlea and Perry Hall areas over the course of about a month. Julia Ann Hammonds, 52, of the 4200 block of Clydesdale Avenue in North Baltimore and Michael Paul Brown, 33, of the 6200 block of Alta Avenue each face grand theft and burglary charges in connection with the stolen packages. Both suspects have been release on their own recognizance and are scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 20. The robbery occurred Saturday evening at the store on Belair Road.
An Overlea-Fullerton area Dunkin' Donuts store was robbed at gunpoint over the weekend. Between 6:07 and 6:10 p.m., April 20, a man walked into the Dunkin' Donuts at 7529 Belair Road, according to police reports. The man demanded cash from an employee and displayed a black handgun with a brown grip which was tucked into his waistband, the report states. The employee gave the robber $215 in cash. The robber then ran across Belair Road to a waiting, dark colored car and drove off, the report states. In a police report, the robber is described as a man in his 40s, approximately 6' tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray zip-down sweatshirt,dark pants, and a black t-shirt with red writing.

Between 8:50 and 11:55 a.m. April 5. A portable generator and walk-behind lawnmower were stolen from a shed. A lock hasp was broken to get inside. Delight Avenue, unit block. The shooting occurred Monday in an Overlea area neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
A man has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder following the shooting of a 23-year-old man and his 4-year-old daughter in the Elmwood community on Tuesday. Resean Penix, 23, of the 5700 block of Leiden Road, faces two counts each of attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment as well as two charges related to the use of a handgun in a violent crime, according to a search of online court records. East Avenue, 5800 block. Between 2 and 8:30 p.m. Feb. 20. An unknown amount of jewelry was stolen from a home. Burglars got inside by destroying the window on a storm door then forcing open the front door.

A Baltimore County employee found the remains Monday afternoon.
A Baltimore County worker discovered human skeletal remains near Overlea High School Monday, Baltimore County Police said. The worker found the remains in a wooded area at 1:26 p.m., according to a police statement. Homicide detectives arrived at the location to start an investigation. The remains were transported to the Chief Medical Examiner's office for examination. No further information is available. Anyone with information is asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at Franklin Square Medical Center.
A woman was the victim of an attempted purse snatching last Thursday as she walked along Hazelwood Avenue. The victim was walking in the 5100 block of Hazelwood Avenue around 9 a.m. on Feb. 7 when she was approached from behind by a man who tried to grab her purse and run off with it, according to a police report. The victim held on to her purse and the robber fled toward Baltimore City. The woman was later transported to Franklin Square Medical Center where she was treated for swelling in her hand, according to the report.
