The Overlea Fullerton Business Professional Association is collecting for an area women's and children's shelter.
As part of an ongoing partnership, a group of area professionals is collecting items for the less fortunate on Baltimore County's Eastside. The Overlea Fullerton Business Professional Association will host "Fill-A-Tote" month for the Eastside Family Emergency Shelter in Rossville throughout January. "The shelter serves between 125 and 140 women on a regular basis and relies heavily on donations from the community," wrote group president Donna Bethke in an email. The group has been collecting items for the shelter since February 2012. As part of a campaign that began in February, the Overlea-Fullerton Business Professional Association is collecting items for the Eastside Family Emergency Shelter.
It may seem like summer has just begun, but already the folks at the Eastside Family Emergency Shelter and the Overlea-Fullerton Business Professional Association are thinking back to school. The professional group will be collecting school supplies for the shelter through the end of August, according to an email from group president Donna Bethke. Bethke wrote that most of the children served by the shelter are elementary school age, but that the ages of children do vary. Also noted is a particular need for backpacks and lunch boxes. In addition to school supplies, the shelter is in immediate need of toothpaste and adult toothbrushes, the email said.
