A Parkville man was struck by a minivan and transported to Shock Trauma.
A Parkville man was transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries following a Saturday night crash. The 59-year-old man was walking in the center of eastbound Putty Hill Avenue around 8:48 p.m. Jan. 12 when he was hit by a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country van, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathleen Batton. The driver of the vehicle attempted to swerve when she saw the man walking in the road but struck him, Batton said. The driver, a 40-year-old Nottingham woman, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Batton said. Batton said the crash remains under investigation and that charges are pending.

UPDATE (2:16 p.m.) A pedestrian killed in a car accident during the Tuesday morning commute has been identified by police. Beulah Mills, 63, of the 1400 block of East Eager Street in Baltimore was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to an email from Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman Cpl. Cathleen Batton. The crash remains under investigation, Batton wrote. A 17-year-old Middle River girl was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries following a Sunday afternoon crash. Police said the girl, identified as 17-year-old Kelsey Jordan Schanberger, of the 2000 block of Oakland Road, was pinned between two vehicles while examining the damage caused to her 2008 Ford Escape in an earlier collision. Schanberger had been waiting at a traffic signal in the left turn lane of southbound Perring Parkway at Putty Hill Avenue when her vehicle was struck from the rear, police said.
