For this week's look into Parkville-Overlea history we turn to this photo, taken in 1936, of a church somewhere in our neighborhood. The church is still there today, but it certainly doesn't look like it did in this photograph. For what it's worth, the road is still there too—but the streetcar definitely isn't. The photo reprinted above was originally found on Baltimore County Public Library's Legacy Web, but do your best not to go look it up (that would ruin the fun). Do you know where this photo was taken? Share your best guess in the comments. If you have a photo from the history of Parkville or Overlea that you'd like to share in this weekly feature, contact editor Nick Gestido: nick.gestido@patch.com.

The video was uploaded to Youtube by BaltimoreJam, a website that focuses on the Baltimore music scene. What memories do you have of Club Venus? Did you ever catch a great show there? Share your memories in the comments! Don't forget! If you have some awesome piece of …

Parts of the neighborhood shown in this vintage photograph are probably still recognizable if you drive through today. This photo, pulled from the Baltimore County Public Library catalog, was taken by Roger Mason back in 1926. Can you guess which neighborhood this photo shows? Tell us in the comments. If you have an interesting photo from the history of the greater Parkville-Overlea area you'd like to share on Patch, contact editor Nick Gestido at nick.gestido@patch.com.
