The new McFaul's Iron Horse Tavern at Sanders' Corner is set to open on Friday and Patch has a preview of the new menu. Kristin McFaul, one of the restaurant's part owners, submitted the finalized menu to Patch this week. The menu is focused on local ingredients, especially seafood—a number of dishes center on Tilghman Island crabs and oysters. County employees headed to the new McFaul's IronHorse Tavern at Sander's Corner for a Tuesday lunch before the restaurant opens to the public next week.
McFaul's IronHorse Tavern at Sanders' Corner opens in just nine short days, but this afternoon county employees were treated to a special preview of the new restaurant near Loch Raven Reservoir. County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, Third District Councilman Todd Huff and Fifth District Councilman David Marks were among the guests invited to the Tuesday lunch ahead of the restaurant's grand opening next Friday, June 29. McFaul's IronHorse Tavern won't open until next Friday, but in the meantime you can drool over this delicious looking food served during today's preview lunch and a preview photo of the new restaurant's menu. The menu includes a wide variety of barroom favorites like pizza and wings, an a focus on local seafood with items like oyster stew, rockfish bites, Maryland crab soup. The worst service I have ever, ever, EVER, experienced. It took 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us after we were seated. About 10 workers walked by us numerous times and they did not even speak! WOW! Customer Service is not what these people know how to give. The service was so BAD we could not enjoy our meal. I thought restaruants were in business to turn tables and make an impression…   more ›
