TRAFFIC MAP: Thanksgiving Congestion Expected, Police Urge Safety

The American Automobile Association estimates that 882,700 Marylanders will travel 50 miles or more Thanksgiving weekend.

Hitting the road this Thanksgiving?  You're not the only one. The American Automobile Association estimates that 882,700 Marylanders will travel 50 miles or more Thanksgiving weekend—less than a half-percent increase from last year. Over 90 percent of travelers will travel by automobile.       And what do they plan to do after reaching their destination? You guessed it—visiting friends and family, eating and shopping, according to the AAA.  This could add congestion to the major roadways serving Towson residents, namely Interstate 83 and Interstate 695.
