Kamenetz To Meet With Parkville Residents Next Week

The latest "Coffee with Kevin" event will be held at a Ridgeleigh restaurant on Dec. 4.

Have an idea you'd like to share with Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz? You'll have your chance next week when he hosts a community forum in the Ridgeleigh neighborhood. The latest "Coffee With Kevin" event will be held at Johnny Dee's Restuarant at 1705 Amuskai Road in the Ridgeleigh neighborhood at 10 a.m. Dec. 4, according to a news release from the county. The meeting, which will last roughly an hour, is open to the public without pre-registration, according to the release. "I am eager to meet with folks in the Greater Parkville area," said Kamenetz in the release.  "It is just really refreshing to meet with community leaders to discuss issues that we all care about. LIVE BLOG: District 5 Rezoning Hearing at Perry Hall High

Residents commented on Baltimore County rezoning proposals for properties in Towson, Parkville and Perry Hall.

7 p.m. Edward J. Gilliss of the Baltimore County Planning Board opened the meeting and asked that no one speak for more than 2 minutes and asked everyone to be civil. 7:05 p.m. The first speaker spoke about Bosely Avenue in the center of Towson. Bosley Avenue carries 42,000 cars on a daily basis. The speaker owns property and believes that the zoning proposal would devalue the land. 7:11 p.m. The President of Carney Improvement Association spoke about an upzoning proposal for a CVS Pharmacy in place of residential land. She said it is a congested intersection, just before the light at Harford and Joppa. She believes the visibility is bad and commercial property would be dangerous. Tonight the developer of the CVS met with 30 residents at the Carney Improvement Assoc. Meeting. All the residents were against the proposed zoning. Thursday night residents from the same community will protest Honda Heratage's petition to rezone an open space buffer between the auto dealership and residential homes on East Avenue.
