Find an update here, Driver Accused of 'Crushing' Woman Over White Marsh Parking Spot. --- UPDATE (9:56 p.m., Sept. 14)—A woman was hospitalized Friday night after police say she was struck by a vehicle outside the Avenue at White Marsh. At about 8:25 p.m. police received a call reporting a fight over a parking spot near Staples at the Honeygo Boulevard shopping center. Within minutes, police received several more calls reporting that an adult female had been struck by a vehicle and that the vehicle had fled the scene, according to Cpl. A man told police he was knocked unconscious and robbed of cash and a watch.
Hours after the incident allegedly occured, a man reported being assaulted and robbed outside of White Marsh Mall early Sunday morning. At about 1:30 a.m. on July 15, in the 8200 block of Perry Hall Boulevard, a man and his girlfriend were walking in the Sears parking lot when three male suspects approached the man and knocked him unconscious, according to a police report. The victim was then kicked and stomped on, and $40 in cash and a $10 watch were stolen from him. The man, visibly injured, reported the incident to the White Marsh police precinct about eight hours after he said it occurred, according to Lt. Ron Brooks. Investigators are looking into a possible relationship between the victim and suspects, Brooks said.

The White Marsh Police and Community Relations Council will retire after Tuesday's meeting until September.
Learn important information about treating burn victims on Tuesday, during the White Marsh Police and Community Relations Council's last meeting of the summer. Starting at 7 p.m. on June 12 at the White Marsh Precinct 9 police station at 8220 Perry Hall Blvd., across from the White Marsh Mall, community members will hear from a representative of Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center, according to Graceann Rehbein, director of the council. A crime update on the Perry Hall, Kingsville, White Marsh, Rosedale and Overlea areas will also be provided by Capt. Michael Balog. Monthly meetings, held the second Tuesday of each month, will resume after a summer break on Sept. 11, 2012.

Police charged four men with transporting contraband cigarettes during two separate traffic stops along Interstate 95 in Baltimore County this week.
Police arrested four men and confiscated more than 10,000 packs of contraband cigarettes this week along Interstate 95 in the White Marsh area, the office of Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot announced early Friday evening. At 10:50 p.m. on April 10, Maryland Transportation Authority Police stopped a 1998 Honda Accord at the 63.3 mile marker on I-95 for a traffic violation. Police contacted the comptroller’s agents to respond a large number of cigarette packs in the vehicle. Agents seized the vehicle and 3,140 packs of illegally transported cigarettes, valued at $18,777, according to a release. Officers arrested the driver, Radame Santana, 25, and a passenger, Kelvin Polanco, 26, both of Brooklyn, NY, according to the release. Both were …

Members of the White Marsh Police and Community Relations Council meet on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss public safety issues, share crime prevention tips and hear from police officials. Two weekend incidents led to the arrest of several Baltimore County residents.
UPDATE (Oct. 18, 3:49 p.m.)—The mother of one of the teenagers who was charged in an incident on March 16 contacted Patch after her son appeared in court on Oct. 18. "My son never touched that officer. He never fought with that officer. We waited for our day in court, and he was cleared from all charges," the mother said. "Any charges placed against this 14-year-old Middle River boy were proven false. My son was acquitted of every charge. Thank God we had tons of witnesses who saw what really happened. I'm just glad that the truth has come out. This officer threw my son. He was in crutches for three days and his glasses were broken." Patch has not identified the mother because the accused was a minor. The mother was referring to this …

Capt. Michael Balog of the White Marsh police precinct on Tuesday released a weekly crime report of major incidents to government and community officials and media. This is the second week that Balog has released the report, as part of a new community outreach effort. "This sharing of this crime information is meant to keep residents and businesses informed as to crime in their area. This does not include all crime in [the precinct].
