Yard Waste Recycling Pick Up Ends For The Year
The pick-ups end December 14 and will resume in April.
Baltimore County residents who still haven't raked up their leaves only have a few more days to do it if they want the county to recycle them. The final yard materials recycling collection day for county residents will happen between December 1 and December 14, depending on a resident's specific schedule. Yard waste can also be set out with the trash for regular collection before Dec. 14 if the last yard waste recycling collection has already occured, according to a statement released by Baltimore County. County officials urge residents to bag and set out the leaves for collection, rather than raking or blowing leaves into the street or gutter, which is illegal., according to the statement. I have picked up approximately 18 bags of leaves on 3 diiferent occasions in my small yard, and it looks like I never did it at all. That's because most everyone in the nieghborhood doesn't bother to pick up leaves in their yard and they wait for them to scatter amongst the neighborhood.
