VIDEO: Do You Know The 'Bring On Brady' Band

A family of Ravens fans created this Ravens-themed cover of "Call Me Maybe" in time for your purple Friday.

Just in time for the most important Purple Friday of the year (so far), this enthusiastic group of Ravens fans uploaded this video to YouTube. It's a cover of the summer smash-hit "Call Me Maybe" with a decidedly pro-Ravens spin ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship rematch against the New England Patriots. The creator, who's YouTube account is RobinsMatt, posted the following comments with the song: "It's AFC Championship week and we thought we'd show our support with a song! The lyrics are mine but the song parodied is "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen and she owns all rights to it and whatnot. We're comin for you again, Patriots, but this time we brought a real kicker. You may have already met. ;)" Do you know the performers in the video…

Ravens March to Foxborough: How Are You Celebrating?

How are Parkville and Overlea Ravens fans celebrating the hometown team's march to the AFC title game?

It's safe to say the Baltimore area has a case of purple fever, and the only prescription is a Lombardi trophy. The Baltimore Ravens are again a game away from a trip to the Super Bowl, and again that road goes through the New England Patriots, who the Ravens face for the AFC championship next Sunday in Foxborough, MA at 6:30 p.m.  ESPN reports that Accuscore again has the Ravens as underdogs—in 1,000 simulations, the Patriots win 69 percent of the time. Last week, Accuscore's simulations showed the Denver Broncos winning 64 percent of the time, and most analysts nationwide were picking Denver to win in the divisional matchup. The Ravens, of course, won that game Saturday, 38-35 in double overtime after a deep game-tying pass from Joe …

truth be told about Ravens and others. Flacko proved he is a true contender and fans should shut up. he is a Qurter back and desrves the respect. Lewis a team leader and 16 years of rough ball have taken a step or two but he turned his life around after the episode years back and has been glue. Now for people like Suggs and all the other yahoo players who celebrate after each play are making the …   more ›

Pulling For Whoever Can Bring It Home

Havre de Grace Patch Editor Sean Welsh, a former Baltimore sportswriter, offers his take on Wild Card Weekend as it pertains to the Ravens.

The Ravens might be unstoppable in the AFC Playoffs. They just need some help. Finding a way to host the AFC title game? Make your plans for Indy. They're Super Bowl-bound. Playing at New England for the conference championship? Gulp. I'm a big believer in the Ravens this season—provided they're playing before 70,000-some screamin' Ball So Hard University students. On the road, forget it. Don't ask why. Even heading into the season finale at Cincinatti, I had little faith. Looking at this weekend's playoff crop, I'm analyzing things from this angle: Who has the best shot of going into New England and picking off the Brady Bunch? After all, not only do the Ravens win at home, but so, too, do we—the residents of the Baltimore area. There's a…

I'd love to see Denver beat New England just so I can see that confused and bewildered look on Brady and Belicheat's face when they stare at the unexpected reality of a defeat to an "inferior" team. Denver can do it. They ran all over them last month. Denver's defense just needs to play better. Brady doesn't deal with actual pressure all that well.   more ›
