Hillendale Man Gets 40 Years in Sex Abuse Case

A Baltimore County judge handed down a 40-year prison sentence on Thursday to a Hillendale man convicted of sexually abusing a disabled man in his care. Tony A. Chestnut, 57, pleaded guilty in November to two counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of abuse of a vulnerable adult, as part of a plea bargain. "It is not about remorse or rehabilitation," said Baltimore County Circuit Court Judge John Grayson Turnbull III in handing down the sentence. "It's about punishment for what this man did." Chestnut, of the 1200 block of Halstead Road, was arrested last May. Detectives had searched his home on a warrant seeking evidence of child pornography.
